Job Description

We are looking for a specialist doctor in general medicine for our medical clinic. The position includes standard outpatient work within the primary care assignment such as medical consultations, child health care, and consultations with home care and special accommodations. To some extent, the scope and distribution of these assignments can be tailored to your individual interests. You will be part of the on-call service, both in the joint primary care on-call center and the backup on-call line. Part of your working time will be dedicated to mentoring less experienced colleagues such as AT/ST doctors and medical students. This will take place during designated time in the schedule.

If you, as a doctor, see digitization and new technology as an opportunity, we want to create space to embrace new methods and ways of working. We aim to promote innovative primary care and close care while also providing opportunities to meet our patients in alternative ways, such as through video visits and monitoring of certain chronic diseases.

Work Group

We are about 45 employees at the health center who enjoy working together in an open work environment. The medical clinic currently consists of 7 specialist doctors, 5 ST doctors, and 1 doctor in training.

About You

You are a specialist doctor in general medicine and have previous experience working in primary care. You have a Swedish medical license (attached to the application) and Swedish language skills equivalent to level Swedish C1. Since you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You have a valid B driver's license.

Application and Employment

The application should include a complete filled-out merit summary for doctors, which you can find here. This should be verified. Don't forget to also attach a copy of your diploma or license.

We work with ongoing selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Before employment in a patient-facing role within Region Östergötland, you will need to fill out a link (https://ledsys.lio.se/Document/Document?DocumentNumber=54500).

Warm welcome to submit your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact customer service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.

To staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and to you as a salesperson: We kindly but firmly decline direct contact with staffing, placement, and recruitment companies as well as other external actors and salespeople for additional job advertisements. Region Östergötland has contracted agreements.
